Dude, It isn't a gradual process! Humans are responsible for the deterioration of polar bears. In prehistoric times humans weren't there, thus they could have no emotional connection. However Polar bears live in our era and we are to take good care of them. We aren't though, because of our avarice for electricity. I mean we need electricity, but not as much as we are currently using. The polar ice caps are melting, thus the polar bears are losing homes. They then try to swim to the next one and before they get there they are fatigued and they then die. In a nutshell, it isn't just another gradual process, because polar bears weren't meant to be extinct! I'm sorry to be a tad harsh but on the topic of global warming I become emotional. PS. SAVE OUR POLAR BEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Humpback whales are really shameless, waving their tails seductively at all the tourists with their super-powered binoculars. Just shoot a few harpoon in the vicinity, and the fat floosies will take the hint and dive. I can smell a Seaslut a mile away.

first of all, you will not be an appetizer, humpback whales do not eat people - they eat krill. Which is not even true - they swallow krill, because they don't have teeth. ANYWAY. if I were you I would get in contact with the hotel you are staying at. most hotels will have connections with local tour groups and will find you a good deal. however, it all just depends on when you are going to hawaii, because the whales just pass through. hawaii is just a stop in their migration, for the most part. they breed around baja and move up to the arctic with their calves to feed on fish. good luck.

People weren't around when the dinosaurs died out. If polar bears became extinct due to natural processes, that would be one thing. However, if they became extinct because of human activity, that would be an entirely different matter. We need to be better stewards of our planet and the life upon it. Biodiversity is a great advantage of our Earth! If you are not concerned about the polar bear becoming extinct, will you be concerned about the next life form to become extinct? Where do you draw the line? Will it finally be when humans are on the endangered list?

The Great Pacific Garbage Patch is too far south to affect polar bears itself. However, it is a sign that human-caused pollution has significant long-term effects in places far removed from civilization. The decrease in the Arctic ice pack caused by increased temperatures is having a much more severe effect on polar bears. The polar bear is typically an ambush predator, feeding on seals and other marine life through gaps in the ice. Without the ice, polar bears have a much more difficult time finding food and may become extinct. As with any species, the effects of a polar bear extinction are all but impossible to calculate in advance because of the complex interrelations between different parts of the global ecosystem. Since polar bears tend to live where humans don't, the direct effects on humans are likely to be minor, at least in a physical sense. It would be unfortunate if it took the extinction of the polar bear to make more people aware of the impact our actions have on the environment.
